Every week, different toys are set out to teach colors, shapes, numbers, and letters. Play dough, blocks, dress-ups, and cars are available for play. Children choose books and practice reading pictures. Once a week, a music teacher introduces rhythm and songs. If the weather is nice, they play outside; if not, they have physical activities indoors. Morning dismissal is at 11:30 AM, and afternoon dismissal is at 2:45 PM.
At the start of the year, a handbook is given with school policies and other information. A monthly newsletter includes themes and activities. A bulletin board lists themes and events. Class-specific memos are next to each classroom door. Teachers are available for questions at arrival and dismissal. Progress reports are given at the end of the year.
All families are part of the Parents Club. This group helps raise money for special events like parties and trips, and also helps organize social events for parents. Parents can visit the classroom as guests to share their knowledge. Teachers sometimes ask parents for help during the year.
